It has been so long since I last time was photographing airsoft so I was very excited about it! Even though there were only Janne, Väinö and I.
This time I was also really inspired by James Nachtwey’s war photography (link) and I tried really hard to archieve somewhat same feeling to some of my shots as he does. I also got to shoot with Väinö’s old film camera which was very exciting too. Those pics will be avaible later though…
Oh, and by the way. Piu piu piu is like pow pow pow in English.

Maanantaina 10.3. keikkaa pukkasi Pienen Robankadun Gloriassa. Siellä esiintyivät sekä Abstraktia ja Whispered että erityisesti In Memorial, jota olin valokuvaamassa. Keikka oli viihdyttävä ja In Memorialin Mari vetäisi hyvin kuumeessa olostaan huolimatta.

Perjantai-iltaa 7.3. vietin Kesoilinmäellä ensimmäistä kertaa urbaania snoukkailua valokuvaten. Lumilautaan tarttuivat Toni ja Jami ja paikalla oli myös videokuvaaja, jota saan kiittää salamalaitteen lainasta! (Nimesi ei jäänyt mieleeni, joten laitathan kommenttia. ) Oli tosi mukavaa valokuvata temppuilujanne ja toivottavasti nähdään taas samoissa merkeissä.
In English: Last Friday I was shooting urban snowboarding for my first time and I enjoyed myself doing it! I hope I’ll get to do that more in the future.

…when you can use a simple sheet of paper as a diffuser? All you need is a rubber band, a small clamp and a sheet of white paper. Everything is easily fit into a single pocket, it is easy to setup and the results are a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Compared to the overall prize at least.
Ok, ok. I’m being cheap, but that’s what do-it-yourself is all about, isn’t it?
…tai ainakin sinnepäin. Kotkaan oli 25. päivä helmikuuta lähdössä mun isä, Jorma, ja mähän lähdin saattoretkelle kamerani kanssa. Juoksemaanhan meinasin siinä vähän joutua, mutta liikuntaahan se sekin. Mentiin yhdessä bussipysäkille muutaman kilometrin päähän ja pyöräilin takaisin kotiin samaisella pyörällä, joka näkyy kuvissa. Ajoitus oli muuten täydellinen, sillä bussi saapui pysäkille heti kun mekin.
